Pintail is a tight-knit four-piece who takes inspiration from hallmark bluegrass artists such as Tony Rice, Doc Watson, Tony Trischka and Billy Strings. Pintail’s sound is a blend of traditional bluegrass, infused with elements of classic country and a touch of jazz. Their goal is to honour the past bluegrass masters while pushing the boundaries of the genre.

Shushack is the driving force of the group with his impressive original compositions while honoring bluegrass classics. Bohémier, a master timekeeper and picker, is the creative muse and momentum behind the band, with his distinctive vocals defining Pintail's sound. Korkola, a Berklee alumnus, brings a deep mastery of the craft, having spent the last half decade in Nashville before settling back in Thunder Bay. Swistun, a songwriter and bassist with two full-length albums, adds simplicity and originality to the group.
